"This book presents in a very effective, detailed and practical manner how to best customize Oracle BI Application for Enterprises in various sectors. What makes this book unique and very potent is the support that it provides to architects in their quest to provide tailor-made solutions that are directly impacting enterprises' ROI whilst concurrently augmenting shareholders’ value. By making complex issues more palpable, Arun and his team’s comprehensive and granular approach have effectively designed an unmatched and leading user guide in the marketplace."

Allan Joe - Senior Strategist and Investment Banker at ShoreBank USA
"Arun Pandey has written an excellent book that I would call as the Bible, or should I say the Gita, for all Oracle BI practitioners and users. The book is step by step guide into the complex world of BI and how Oracle BI works. Most importantly, it has used cases (or case studies) that bring the whole experience to life. It has been written in a completely unconventional style and will make a compelling reading."

V. Ravichandran, Senior Vice President, Hewlett Packard Company "With a unique reference to Indian mythology, it does not feel like a technology book. But it is, and you put down the book feeling energized, knowledgeable and like an ARCHITECT. Arun, with his unique style and panache, has brought new life to the world of Oracle BI Apps. This is the one book you will ever need to demystify the powers of Oracle BI Apps and be the commander in chief.” Venkatakrishnan Iyer, Vice president, Capgemini.

"Need of the hour Arun! We sense that the BI community needed this approach to BI Applications for quite a while & you've fulfilled it now! The mythological touch makes it a different one too! Good work & keep it up at Sanskruti – I'm glad that you're making your immense knowledge freely available to students!"

The Analytical Revolution Of Sensors

Speaking during Question Hour in the upper house of Indian parliament on Thursday 11-June-2015, Union Minister of State for Power Piyush Goyal claimed that electricity was available at zero rupees per unit at the Power Grid’s Monitoring Office. When there are continuous power cuts across so many cities and only a few hours of power supply at majority of villages, this actually is a good indicator towards the unbalanced demand/supply situation.

The Search Disruption

There are two specific events which mark this decade, first one being the emergence of disruptive business models such as e-commerce models for retail, travel, transport and services and the second one is the emergence of disruptive technologies such as search and analytics technologies. Both of these events present a series of opportunities in terms of doing cheaper business with faster implementation times, while at the same time they possess a serious threat to the old business models and software licensing models.
